Yup, winter has arrived!

As if the number of birds flocking to the fields to gorge on the left over harvest and the little bit of snow that came before Halloween weren’t big enough signals that the season’s were changing, this weekend seems to have made it official with a massive dumping of snow on the prairies. Here are a few picture that I took yesterday:

I still can’t believe this rose! It almost died this year but finally bloomed on Thanksgiving and kept on going until now. The blooms are still pink though. Crazy plants!

My first snowsnoeing of the year! The snow here is so powdery though that even in snowshoes, you tend to sink into the ground.
