Winter Wildlife At Pike Lake

It’s been too long since my last post so here’s the first of my catch-up updates.

Back in early March, I took a wander to Pike Lake to get in some exercise and feed the birds. The weather was mild so I collected up my camera, a baggy of bird seed, my mother, and my doggo and headed west!

I’m afraid that I have no story to go with this post. Hiking the Gift Of Green trail is pretty straightforward. We did see a woodpecker but otherwise, it was the usual cast of characters there; chickadees and squirrels. But I’m writing this post because photographing those usual suspects is a lot of fun and I want to share those pictures with you.

I tell a lie! The one story I have is when my Bella finally noticed the chickadees coming to a spot where we left some seeds so I could take pictures. I’ve never seen that wooly dog try to climb a tree but it was absolutely hilarious!
