Toon Town Big Band 2019

The first half of 2019 has been quite an adventure for the Toon Town Big Band. Our first gig was playing for the University of Saskatchewan Ballroom Dancing Club’s annual Dancero spring dance at TCU Place. It was a lot of fun but it’s tough work playing for dancers.

Next up was the Gatsby Night For Autism fundraiser at the Western Development Museum hosted by Autism Services Saskatoon. We’ve played this gig for the past 6 years and it’s always a blast!

Another one of our favorites is the Hometown HERos fundraiser hosted by Soroptimist International of Saskatoon. This event helps raise money for women and girls at home and around the world and this year it was on May 30th at Louis’ Pub.

Finally, we ended off our season at The Bassment for a great evening of music.

It’s been a great few months but now, it’s time for a little break. I can’t wait for our next gig though!
