Every year, a show comes to town that gets me exited. I’m not sure why because I don’t much about the subject but I know it’s super neat-o and I lover the pretty colours. I’m talking, of course, about the Gem & Mineral Show!
Each spring, I walk past tables covered in all kind of rocks and fossils wondering why I’m so attracted to them yet powerless to resist. The fossil table, in particular, holds way too much power over me even though it’s small as it’s often overlooked by the pseudoscience practitioners desperately looking to throw money at quackery in hopes of solving all their problems.
As usual, I snapped a few photos of those gorgeous formations plucked from the Earth by geologically savvy hunters to be sold to saps like me. Here are a few of my favourites including the coprolite that I bought because, despite my age, I still find poop jokes funny and love telling people about the “piece of crap” I bought.
