Pictures of Saskatoon

In addition to this site, I also run www.toontownbigband.com which belongs to the band that I’m lucky enough to be playing in right now.  I’m still learning about websites and website design but there was one thing that always bugged me about the band’s website’s set up: the banner.  It’s something that I’ve always taken for granted, even in the earliest days of the internet but the design of a website is no small task and the banner (or picture) can really make or break it.

Being that we’re The Toon Town Big Band, it made sense that we should have a picture of ‘Toon Town’ somewhere on the site.  This past week, I finally got out and tried my hand (again) at taking some scenery photos of the city.  I played around with a couple of those pictures to make a new banner for the other site and I think I have a better idea of what it should look like (although, it’s not quite there…yet) but, I thought I’d post some of those pictures that I took to let everyone see my hometown.

All these pictures were taken on the Meewasin Trail between the Diefenbaker Centre on the University of Saskatchewan campus and the Broadway Bridge.
