It’s hard to believe that the Autumnal Equinox was just a week and a half ago. Septemeber is usually so beautiful. Even the first half of October is usually quite nice. Instead, winter seems to be pushing through. Apparently, the birds knew what was in store before us though since they were already fattening themselves up in August. And a few weeks ago, they came to our yard to gorge themselves on our high-quality bird seed.
These photos were taken over the span of just three days. We’ve had all sorts of birds visiting. Sparrows, chickadees, purple finches, nuthatches, blue jays, grackles, magpies, and crows have all made themselves known to us.
I don’t have a picture for this post but this year, I got a new window feeder. It’s been super interesting since the birds are now spending more time on the desk and we’ve had a blast watching everyone from the kitchen window.
I know at some point, our mooching feathery friends will fly off for the winter but I hope I’ll get a few more shots of these fluffs before then!
