The Meewasin Valley Authority has a number of programs all year around and I finally had the chance to do one of their historical walks yesterday. This one was their “Downtown & Gargoyles” walk. I knew we had a few old buildings left and that they had some pretty cool architecture, but I never really took the time to look. I can’t recommend this tour enough though! Such a great way to learn a little about this little city! Too bad there aren’t more of these!
Photography wise, I really didn’t know what to expect. I don’t photograph a lot of buildings and I knew that they can be tricky, but I took a chance and brought a zoom lens specifically because I wanted to capture the gargoyles. I’ll definitely have to go back on my own since a walking tour with a group of strangers isn’t the best time for art, but I’m quite happy with what I got this time around. Who would’ve thought that there were so many faces looking down on the city?
